Hi, my name is Tom Van Erp. When I retired from real estate sales in 1989, I started V.R.M. Capital Corporation to engage in the “fix and flip business”. In other words, the business of buying, fixing up, and then selling of single family homes. From that time until 1998 I bough and sold more than 130 houses, which enabled me to kick back a little and start making loans to others engaged in the same business. Since that time I have consistently made more than 50 loans annually for this purpose, usually out of my private pension plan, V.R.M. Pension Plan Trust.

Buying, fixing up, and then re-selling houses is, I strongly believe, a great business. Not only can the ordinary person with certain skills and hard work make a good living, people engaged in this line of work are helping their community by restoring older and often neglected properties.

I look forward to talking with you!
